WHY GIVE?
We give as an act of faith and obedience to God. Not because God needs our money, but to work the dependence of money out of our hearts. God wants us to trust in Him, and not our money, so He asks us to give to Him, and He will give us what we need.
"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."
Luke 6:38
WHAT IS TITHE?
"Tithe" means tenth. We give tithes in addition to a free will offering. We give a tenth, or 10% of every financial earnings obeying Gods word and to ensure that the church is able to support the community and to provide a comfortable worship experience every week.
“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
Malachi 3:10
